Wonder — Week 3
In the ancient book of Isaiah, there’s an incredible story of Isaiah, who has a crazy vision where he's in the Temple and he's right in God's presence. He's completely terrified, mainly because Isaiah knows the rules. He shouldn't even be in there. And he's worried about being destroyed because he’s unclean and God is perfect. This moment in the Scriptures reveal to us much about one of the misunderstood attributes of God’s character: His holiness. But as we dive into this story, we find that fear and terror are not the endpoints to Isaiah’ story, and find something even more surprising: that God’s holiness doesn’t simply expose us, but also clean us and - if we let it - can heal and change us.
