How would you complete this sentence. “Jesus came…” There are three ways that the New Testament completes that sentence. And while the first two are well known (“The Son of Man to give his life as a ransom for many” and “The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost”) the third one is more surprising. “The Son of Man came eating and drinking.” But for Jesus, eating and drinking was always more than simply food and beverage.
