Abraham- Week 8

The story of Sodom and Gomorrah is a tragic story in so many ways. An outcry of injustice reaches the ears of God, who comes down to investigate. And the story ends with the complete and utter destruction of the city by God, who rains down fire. Throughout the rest of the Bible, even the name “Sodom” is used to represent a place of utter wickedness. But there’s more to the story, too. In the story, we see Abraham delicately arguing with God to save the city - and God (incredibly) agreeing to it - under one condition. And as we look at this complex story, we learn something about God, about His heart, and about what he’s hoping for His people.
